Bisons rebound with 6-4 win over St. Paul
The Bisons rebounded from their Wednesday night loss in Killam with a 6-4 win over the St. Paul Canadiens.
Jess Valleau opened the scoring for Wainwright in the first period, with brother Jared finishing on a feed from the younger Valleau on a powerplay minutes later to give Wainwright a 2-1 lead.
The Canadiens evened the game before the end of the first, then taking a 3-2 lead five minutes into the second period. Wainwright responded with a pair from Cody Kerr and Jason McKinlay to carry a 4-3 lead into the final frame.
St. Paul tied the game up a final time five minutes into the third, with Jess Valleau and Quinn Costa scoring to ensure the 6-4 win. Valleau had four points on the night (2g/2a), while older brother Jared picked up a pair (1g/1a). McKinlay also had two on the night (1g/1a).
